This Tier 1 entry-level AR-15 build emphasizes quality and reliability with 100% American-made components. Starting with a robust foundation, it features an SAA15 lower receiver and an AR15 upper receiver, both precision-machined from durable 7075-T6 forged aircraft-grade aluminum by Cerro Forging and finished with a Mil-Spec MIL-A-8625 Type III Class 1 anodization for exceptional wear and corrosion resistance. The lower receiver includes practical enhancements like a threaded bolt catch, threaded rear takedown hole, and threaded upper adjustment for a secure and precise fit.
The bolt carrier group boasts a full auto-rated carrier crafted from domestic aircraft-quality 8620 steel, paired with a 4130 steel gas key secured with properly staked Grade 8 screws. The bolt is made from high-quality C158 steel, featuring a 4140 steel extractor with a Mil-Spec O-ring and gas rings, a 4140 steel cam pin, and a hard chrome/ground 8740 firing pin. It's MPI tested and shot peened to ensure reliable performance and is finished with a Black Nitride treatment (Salt Bath Nitride/QPQ) for increased hardness, wear resistance, and a deep black finish.
The OUTERWILD 16" 5.56 Government Profile Midlength AR-15 barrel is a testament to precision manufacturing. Produced in-house by Outerwild using automated processes, this barrel is made from 4150 CMV steel, stress-relieved, air-gauge tested, and individually checked for headspace, guaranteeing superior accuracy. It features a 1:7 RH twist rate, a .750" gas block journal, a .078" gas port, and a 1/2-28 muzzle thread, finished with Blacknitride+™ by H&M for enhanced durability. It also sports M4 feed ramps and an 11° target crown.
The build is completed with a MIL-SPEC lower parts kit featuring a standard fire control group, an A2 grip kit, a 90-degree standard safety, and all necessary detents, springs, pins, and the magazine catch assembly. A low-profile .750" set screw gas block made from stainless steel with a nitride finish and a nitrided mid-length gas tube ensure proper gas system function. The SAA-15 handguard provides a comfortable and versatile platform. An A2 extended flash hider is included as the muzzle device. An ambidextrous charging handle offers ease of use for both left and right-handed shooters. The rifle also includes a standard safety selector, an A2 grip, a Black Nitride auto 5.56 BCG with a C158 bolt, a MIL-SPEC 3.0 oz buffer kit, and a Mission First Tactical BATTLELINK Minimalist stock (MIL-SPEC, black) for a lightweight and adjustable platform. This rifle is a solid entry into the AR-15 platform, built with quality, American-made components for reliable performance.

Black Nitride is a process commonly referred to as SBN (Salt bath nitride) and QPQ (quench polish quench). These are a form of nitrocarburizing or a Thermo Chemical treatment that improves wear resistance and corrosion resistance of ferrous metals with little or no dimensional change which causes the hardening of steel. The chemical bath results in a deep dark black with a harder, more durable finish.

OUTERWILD 16" 5.56 Government Profile Midlength AR 15 Barrel, Modern Series
Outerwild AR15 barrels are produced in-house by Outerwild. Using our fully automated robotic-driven production line, we drill, ream, rifle, contour and assemble our barrels from raw bar stock to the finished product. These barrels are properly stress relieved after rifling, air-gauge tested, and individually checked for head space. Our quality control system ensures they are dimensionally correct and bores fall well within their individual tolerance ensuring superior accuracy.
